Bitumen BND 60/90 is a more viscous type of bitumen with a viscosity index from 60 to 90 Penottek (Pn) at a temperature of 60°C. This bitumen has high heat resistance and is intended for use in hot climates, where the temperature can reach high values (for example, +30°C and above). It is used to create durable coatings on roads with high traffic volumes, as well as for highways where increased resistance to deformations, such as ruts and loss of shape of the coating, is required. Bitumen BND 60/90 has good resistance to deformation when exposed to high temperatures and vehicle loads, which makes it preferable for the construction of highways, roads with high loads, bridges and streets in hot regions. The use of this bitumen reduces the risk of overheating and destruction of the coating, improving the durability and strength of roads. It is often used for laying asphalt concrete coatings in areas with a hot climate, where the air temperature often exceeds 30°C.
